7.3 OBS PSD....running poorly and lack of power

So my dads 95 f350 has been having trouble :/

ive just been putting it off or didnt no were to turn but ned your guy's help...
symptoms:

lack of power-
check engine light comes on
goes into safety mode under load or full throttle
poor fuel milage 12/13 mpgs and its all stock with just a K&N

So he would like to get this fixed... cuz this is his work truck, and it needs better MPG'S for the commutes we have..

any help would be awsome ...

first, find out what the cel is on for.

oh well... he says it only comes on when u put your foot in it...it ill come on and loose power then goes into protection mode :/

soooooooo its trippin it for a reason. need someone with an ae or hand held and pull that code.

autozone will scann it for free. but you might run into tards that dont know anything about ford diesels.

plus they "might" not erase the code.

Hmm... well if they end up scanning it for free tht be great. But i think ive checked into this if i remmebr...and CA is different. they barely no about mustangs....psshh like theyll figure out a obs PSD
What codes should i look for?

anything it will find. the scanners they use can only pull the p codes. it wont read anyother info since these arent obd2 ready really like gassers.
