Wheel cylinder question

I replaced my rear wheel cylinders last year and have put 2,000 miles on them since. I had them done by a shop. Now my vacuum pump went out and the rear right was leaking fluid. As you can imagine I had to slam the brakes to the floor to get the truck to stop without a working vacuum pump. I have since replaced the vacuum pump and it has stopped leaking. Was that my problem or has it just all leaked out? I am about to go on a 500 mile road trip so please help!
