InterCooler Volume
My 1997 F250 HD is due for an Intercooler and I'm wondering if the volume/size of the I.C matters? I am eyeing up one from a freightliner at my shop but am wondering if I will suffer from severe turbo lag or slow throttle response? I would think that if the intercooler remains under pressure that the volume does not make a difference but if it empties out every time I get off the pedal then I will need a smaller one. It is a Garrett Air to Air IC. Also, where do I get the Y-pipe and the pipe from the turbo to the IC?

Come on, nobody has any information on intercooler physics?

With my experience with my 6.0 intercooler id have to say that you do NOT want that big of a cooler. I want to go down to a 7.3 cooler. Some of the aftermarket kits for the 7.3's are really small. I lost a good deal of bottom end boost an response. But u get used to it...and my d66 compensated for a lot.
