CPS confused

I was checking on the newer CPS and found this one online but it looks different than the others I have seen. Is this correct for a 96 F-250?

i have a 94.5 and replaced mine about a year and a half ago. from what I can remember that looks like what I used.

However, seems weird why multiple ebay listings show 97+ for year range. If its not compatible back to 94.5 (first PSD), then I would think it would be 99+ (starting with the superduty years).

Can anyone clarify?

I can't find it again to give you the link, but I saw a graph once comparing the blue, grey and black CPS's. I remember the grey gave the least performance. The blue and black were comparable, but the black was better in the graph. I was having stall/starting issues and naturally changed the CPS. The one I removed was the grey and the one I bought at O'Rielly's was black. Once I got the truck started again, it seemed to be MUCH better. Quieter and smoother.
