help me on this
Okay fellas here is a brain teaser there is a squeal coming from fan belt, area ,now I have replaced all the pulleys with new gates pulleys, the a/c idler pulley ( no a/c)and vacunm pump ( 5th one
) all that and still a squeal. I had the alt. bench test at smucks its a lifetime warr.they say its good to go I say it sounds like a bearing is shot if u had hand spin it so I replaced the tensonerand new belt and guess what it still squeals but now it sorta goes away when the truck is a running temp. So any obs gurus out the can point in the right direction would be great . I have already shot my hood repaint budget chasing this noise and is driving me nuts thanx

What belt are you running? If its a Gates they tend to squawk alot. My truck had a Gates belt on it and the OEM behind the seat as a spare, I swapped them and no more squeal.

Its a napa micro v made by gates it looks like I will go to ford and get a new belt. I just don't to be stuck some whre because of a fried bearing.
