Glow plug troubleshooting
I'm troubleshooting the OBD II P1396 code and I'm at the point where the service manual says to install a Rotunda Glow Plug Injector Adapter 014-00935. Did not have any luck finding a reference to this part number, but on Ford's Special tools site, I found this part that looks like it SPX Motorcraft - Detail: 418-D004 - Adapter Cable, Glow Plug
But $87 seems like a ripoff for a simple electrical connector with some test wires. Does anyone know of where I can find the electrical connectors and I'll make one myself? Thanks! |

You don't need that but it would sure make life easier. Just touch the contacts inside the valve cover gasket connector with the probes on your multimeter... not too tough. Here is a repair harness that you could use to make your own test harness out of, they can probably be found on Ebay as well.

Thanks!
Great, thanks. I'll try it without the connector first, and thanks for the link to the vendor.

Yes. But I also just tried using the probes on a multimeter and it worked fine. You do not need a connector.
