electrical? wont start:(

The 350 is down and out again. I finally got the clutch pedal assembly all together and got to drive it for about 30mins late fri night. The next morning I pulled out back to the trash cans to empty the bed out . When I went to go restart the truck nothing, I suspected it was something with the alarm system that I found when I removed the column to do the pedals so I ripped all the alarm stuff out and still nothing so now I m think it may have just been the batteries or something so I had them checked and charger they where low but not bad. In the process I broke my ignition off so I had to buy a new key setup. Got that in and now this morning when I went to try the truck I hooked the batteries back up put the key in and turned.. Nothing the glow plug light came on like normal and then when I went to turn the ignition over the dash lights and the radio turn off when I try. So I was wondering what does this sound like could it be the switch on the bottom of the column. I pulled that off today and tried just pushing it in and it did the same(the box held on with the 2 starbit screws. Thanks for giving me any advice. As a student and part time worker you guy enable me to keep going. Can go running to the mechanic every time but electric … I might have to but im pretty sure someone here will know what’s up.

Ill try to look into that but i allready had that disconected so you didnt have to press the clutch in to start. It seems to be a failure of some sorts turn key and the power to the whole truck seems to just diss it doesnt even want to start. I had the colum out and put a new ingition in before that the truck was fine but in the process the when i tryed to crank the motor it went real weak and then finalll it just had the starter clickin, the # 2 fues under the hood and the started celnoid was clickin. when i turned the key over the elctic seemed to be pulsating. i removed the batts and charged for 24 and when i hooked them back up the plusein stopped but not even a hint of turn over.

Double check the ign. switch on the column. The rod may not be aligned just right or something.

I would take it somewhere to have codes pulled if you think it is running rough.
