Unhappy help! 7.3 fuel leak

fuel leaking down driver side of the bell housing, changed o-rings (looks like a small piece of vacuum tubing) in both compression fittings on both heads coming from fuel pump, neither fitting leaking, fuel galley under fuel pump dry and nothing flowing out of galley drain hole on passenger side. from under the truck you can trace the leak up behind the the exhaust tube that runs between the head and fire wall (that connects the exhuast manifold with the turbo), but on top everything is dry.

cant say for sure but on the back side of both heads in the area you are refering to there is a fuel rail plug on each head , there is an o-ring on that plug , very seldom maybe twice in ten years have i seen one of these leak, but it can leak, plug is behind y-pipe comiing up from manifold to turbo ,may be hard to get to ,but where you say it is coming from sounds like that might be your problem

I don't think it will work man, the plugs are not pipe thread, they are just straight threads with an o-ring on the head of the plug.

hey is there fuel in the valley right under the fuel pump...if there is your fuel pump went bad...it has a weep hole that leaks into the valley then down through a hole in the back of the engine then down onto the bellhousing and down to the ground...a lot of times it mixes with oil residue and makes it look like its coming from somewhere else...just a thought.
