Intercooler install on 96 f250

Hello everyone!

I need help finding out what necessary parts I will need to install an intercooler from a 7.3 superduty on my 96' powerstroke. I saw another thread on this but need to know what vehicle the intake comes from. (the aluminum mess that clamps from turbo to heads and connects the CAC tubes) and what other parts will be needed to complete this install.. Any help would be be appreciated! Thanks

Skip over the 7.3L I/C and put a 6.0L I/C on it!

I might just do that after reading farther lol....but still need to know what intake to use, I work at a ford dealer and can get the parts but need to know what application it was used in. I was going to get the banks kit but don't wanna spend quite that much money on just an intercooler

check eBay, they are cheap when you find them...about $100 or so, and well worth it. As far as your extra parts go, I'm not exactly sure, but I'm sure someone else here can help you out.

you will need the intake spyder from an early 99 to make everything to hook up.the only way to get one of these is to get it used.i have been told these are on national back order.an intercooler,and as for the piping you can either buy a kit or fab your own{cheaper}and piping boots,12 pack of beer and a couple of buddies to help.if your interested in an intercooler i have one out of a 6L with the lower piping and boots. brandy new. 175+ the ride may also be able to get the intake spyder also.not sure on price yet.

just a suggestion but i JUST got finished puttin a 03 powerstroek intercooler on my 97 and it was areal tight fit on everything. there is an install steps to doin it that walked me right through it in the "tech" area of this site. be prepared to fight that thing in there for at least a day.

Well, skipped on the 7.3 i/c and am locating a 6.0 i/c. Any one needs a 03' 7.3 i/c it will be on ebay shortly or PM me if interested

Geoff makes a kit to install IC is OBS's. I used this kit to install a 6oh cooler in my 96. Ya need patience to get one though as he has been real slow getting the kits out latley.
