Thumping in front of driver floorboard

I just realized I have the three most recent posts on these forums, but I promise I do at least an hour or two of searching before I ask for help! Haha! Anyways, I have a rhythmic thumping that happens intermittently. It seems to be coming from somewhere in the driver firewall, wheelwell, floorboard, type area. It usually starts at highway speeds randomly, not set off by any particular bumps or maneuvers. I can't make it do it on command or make it stop aside from stopping. The rhythm is speed related, and totally stops once I drop below 15 mph. I can't feel it in the steering and doesn't cause any shake or wobble. I checked both front bearings about 1k miles ago, and the driver side bearing is barely warm to the touch after several hours of driving. I crawled under and can't find any loose material. I'm totally stumped here. Any ideas? Thanks
