New to the Stroker

Im looking to obtain any and all info to help tune my truck up. Its a 97 F250 Powerstroke automatic and I am looking for all the little things that help the engine and drivetrain. I know injectors and pumps and turbos and programs, but I am wanting to find the little things that make the most power. I had a 96 and started throwing programmers and stuff at it and ended up smokin the engine. I want to do this one right.

Welcome to the org!

Start yourself off with an intake, 3" DP and either straightpipe your stock exhaust or get a system. Then get yourself some guages and then some custom tunes

any suggestions? Im not looking to max out and toast another engine, I use my truck to haul our race hauler and cattle trailer. I am looking for max horsepower while getting the MAX mpg. I usually average 1000 miles a weekend so i need mpg. Iv heard the DP can be a pain to put in with the firewall

you wont want to do any mods without that 3" downpipe first, that is one of the first things you should do, bending the firewall isnt a pain, then do an intake and get gauges to monitor it all and then get a chip with custom tunes and youll have decent power, then you can keep going from there
