So im thinking of getting a egt guage and i was wondering what the guage should go up to? 1500? 2200? 2400? also when i get one what is the heighest i should let the guage get to? also should i put the pyro in the manafold
(ive heard storys of them breaking off and going through the turbo) or mount it in the down pipe?

Mount it in the manifold, reading will be much more accuarate, Id say 2200 is the most you need unless you have a ton of mods planned, and Id say if your egts are staying over 1500 for a while then be worried

use grease on the drill bit... the shavings will stick to it and stay out of the manifold

Id go with a fuel pressure gauge, or HPOP pressure

Also Drill the EGT probe out in the Driver's side manifold on the bottom of it so that it helps the metal shavings to fall out rather than settle inside of the pipe.
