5 speed instalation

i have a 96 psd with an auto in it and i have a wrecked 94 psd with a 5 speed in it. i want to put the 5 speed in my 96. what would need to be done with my 96 to make it work. also the 94 is obdII.

You may have to swap the ECU to get the truck to run right, but I'm not sure how interconnected the engine and trans are on these trucks.

you'll need.

transmission
clutch
pressure plate
clutch pedal assembly
slave and master cylinder assembly
transfer case
and new PCM from a manual truck.

And some people change the steering column as well.

You don't have to change the steering column as they are all the same, they just have the parts for the options that apply to the truck. You can make a manual steering column for an auto and vise-versa, same with tilt and non tilt.

Dont forget the flywheel lol and Im sure you will find more things no one thought about lol the colum just take the auto shifter out and take the trim from the manul truck save you sometime.

what about wiring. since mines obd2 and the 5 speed is obd 1 wouldnt that matter or would i even have to mess with wiring. i just dont want to get in too deep. caus i can just through in an ats and be done with it.
