need help intercooler install??!WTF

I have a 97' f350 I bought a 6.0 intercooler, tubes and spyder off of an early 99. My problem is my fuelbowl is not tight to my hpop like every other truck I have seen and the spyder will not fit between the fuelbowl and turbo. WTF? Has anyone ever seen a fuelbowl 6 inches away from the hpop??

Sorry my camara is broke. I had to take the spyder to a local fab shop and he ground it down for me and welded up th goles it. Its still tight but it works.
