What exactly is the IDM mod, and what does it do?

it kicks up the out put fro 120v to 140v.

you change out a resistor inside the IDM to up the voltage to the injectors. 97 you probably have the 110 volt IDM. you can up it to 140. the more voltage the more efficiently the injectors will fire.

ther was a article on this in diesel power last fall....oct, nov, dec somewhere in there....make sure you order the right kind of resistor you can't get them from radio shack....digi key I think is the supplier
