1997 F-350 banks trans command

this is on the truck i just bought can i put a a tuner in while it is installed, it also has a banks chip inside the kick panel on the drivers side, i tried to put my small superchip in and it wouldnt let me do i need to take out the banks chip or both chip and trans command. let me know any help is appreciated

I would imagine the Trans Command works with the TCM (Transmission Control Module) and not the ECM but I could be wrong. I would try taking out just the banks chip and not the Trans Command and try to put yours on there. Hope this helps!
