Head Studs
I've just bought a set of head studs for my engine and when I fitted them the injectors are hitting the studs so I can't bolt them down. can anyone help! Thanks.

What brand of headstuds did you buy? ARP's have 8 in the set that are shorter than the rest to fit under each injector. H-11's are all the same lenght and should all fit just fine when installed all the way down.
If you still have the problem then your only other option would be to grind the injector hold down clamps to fit. -Michael |

They did a story on this exact thing in this months diesel power mag. That guy did studs on a 7.3 and his injector plates were hitting the studs. He said to grind out the clearence on the plates and you will be fine!

yep, I was just looking at this in diesel power also. Its the april issue(red durmax on cover) grab the issue it shows pics on where they had to cut them down to fit

I just chose 8 and cut then down a tad bit.
