Caterpillar?
Has anyone thought about doin a engine swap like this? I think it would be really cool to put a 6 cyl. Cat engine in for the powerstroke. Maybe im just crazy.
And if anyone on this website has been through a Cat program to become a mechanic at their dealers. I leave this fall to go to the one in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and was wondering what it was like. |

A guy near me had a cat diesel in a 78 1 ton ford. It was sweet.

I think it would be a great combo.

Cat engines would be rather large to be putting in these trucks. Once you do get it in and running, working on it would be a real bear.
