TS Chip for 5spd in Auto OBS

Hi,

I was looking at a TS Chip that is for a 5spd. I talked to a TS dealer and they told me that the plug in is different on an auto than a manual. I have been reading around different forums and see many people claiming that they are running chips meant for autos in manuals and chips for manuals in autos.

Is this true? Will they fit? Are the plugs the same or different?

Thanks for the help.

I have A TW chip that is manufactured by TS. I bought it used from a getleman that had a six speed. My truck is a auto and TW reburnt to my truck and it runs and shifts GREAT.

You have got bad info from TS.

TW Tony Wildman at Total Diesel Performance.
Can reprogram the chip for you. I think it is $150.00. But you better ask TW to be sure.

So what would happen If I ran this chip without a reburn for the auto? Would it shift weird? Any damage?
