AFE doesn't fit on a Manual Super Duty?
Bought an AFE system and can't get anywhere close to making this ****pile fit on the truck. I clearanced everything with the trans out, got it fitting good with room to the body, but the trans wouldn't go in with the dp in place -- took the dp off, now there's no way in hell to get it back on, it hits a tab on the transmission.
My question, before I beat the total hell out of the firewall, is whether or not this setup will even work on this truck. Obviously great timing now that I've got the stock dp in half... but worth the question I guess. |

Well, either the AFE and ATS systems are completely different, or Ford quality control is that bad. I've got about an inch on the body side, but the DP was hitting the transmission, and about a half inch off. Had to hammer on the dp until it fit, now it fits pretty well, but the complete AFE system doesn't fit on Super Duty's.... now I've got a custom exhaust that exits in front of the rear tire!
