IDM mod is changing a resistor in your injector driver module to increase the voltage sent to your injectors, so they open faster/stay open longer.

Found this searching google:

Yes, it can be done, and on a truck with an ICP fooler, or even most chips, you'll notice a pretty good difference, in my opinion.

i love these "chipless" mod's, they don't cost much and still provide power. So, anybody know where to find some instructions on how to do the idm mod? i saw the pics but instructions would still be nice.

fyi, i went to radio shack for the resistor and the had different ones. some were without the k like 10k or just 10. and then there was something else like amps or something, just want to get the right one before installing, they had like 4 big drawers of resistors
sorry for the post but thought it might help.

Well, It would be nice if someone has a little bit more information on how this is done. The link shows pics, and says the 309 is changed, but changed to what??? it looks like they switched the wires to a different location to me. I wonder how long it would take to get a new IDM.....decisions decisions

i guess the worst that could happen is to blow the thing (IDM) up. that could be exciting even if theres no increase in power.
