turbo questions

im lookin for an upgrade for my stock turbo. would it be best to just upgrade the wheels or the whole system. all i have on it is a ts 6 position. and cold air. any kind of first hand advice is appreciated. Also ive heard things about silencer rings on dodges. do the OBS turbos have them? and my last question. what are the specs for a stock turbo on my 96

Thanks for any and all helps.

There is no silencer ring on a ford. Its a dodge thing. Just another reason I have a powerstroke

The 6.0 has a silencer ring built in, requires dremmiling out

The ww2 is pretty nice, but mine is a bit laggy on stock sticks, I have a fed model, also if your looking to wake it up get custom tuning

Why are you looking to replace it?

well i've always been told that smoke is unburnt fuel. so i just assumed that if i upgraded and got a little more air it would help with power and reduce some of the haze. i dont want to be one of those high schoolers running around coalin just because they can they think its "cool". but i have to admit it is kinda fun to give a biker or convertible a little reason not to ride 10'' from my rear bumper at 70 mph.
