RiffRaff Filter Cover

My intake from RiffRaff just came in today but had a question about the filter cover. I've read on the forum it'll improve the life of the filter but at the same time, will be restrictive. I plan on throwing this bad boy on tomorrow night and wanted to get an idea if I should leave the cover off or put it on.

Thanks!

I put one one of their filter covers on mine and didn't notice a damn bit of difference! My truck is chipped with bigger injectors so I think it definitely takes in more air too, and I haven't felt the slightest difference in performance. I'd say put the cover on too and don't worry about it.

I've actually measured the resistance of this. I stuck a fairly sensitive vacuum gauge in the backside of the filter. With and without the filter cover there was no difference in negative pressure, meaning no restriction caused by the cover.
