Injector module mod

Okay, new to everything diesel. I've been urged to put some sort of resistors into the injector module that adds power and fuel mileage..
Before I briefly looked up resistor Mods, and I never gathered I'd they were good things or not

I've done the mod on 5 idms and they all are working well. Btw the mod doesn't really increase mileage, driving style is what dictates that.

Look up the 140v idm mod, lots of happy customers, although there have been a few who have messed up an idm

Not a hard job. If it was a 7.3L SD than what he was doing is pretty much what you'll be doing. You do have to get the right resistor for your IDM, his resistors won't work in yours.

bout to do this mod is the resistor the same for all obs or do i need to go out nd check my voltage and then get resistor of my own size. Just figured I would ask before this .29 breaks my bank haha naw just checking and asking so i dont blow a idm

It is the same for all OBS trucks but it's not entirely likely that you still have the stock IDM.

right i understand that i was bored today since we got hit with ice and snow i couldnt make it to work. Been reading up on mods for my truck and its too cold. I have to get in there anyways to unhook my EBPV anyways

I would get the Swamps HVHF IDM has worked great for me in the last year.

00 Excursion 7.3 (1.0 Ex. hsng., 3.5" downpipe, Aero Muffler, Banks WG, Banks Comp. Wheel, AFE Stage 2 Air intake, HPX, IAH delete, DP- Tuner F6, Riffraff Boost Fooler, Melling Oil Pump), Fuel lab 41402 pump and regulator, fuel bowl delete, 910 Comp Springs/Shims, DI Pushrods, Swamps HVHF IDM, SRP 1.1 HPOP Dieselsite trans and coolant filter, 203* thermostat, Sonnax valve 0.427 and tricumulator springs, Lift, MM Hubs, 35's and 3.73s, 08 diff cover, Hellwig rr. bar
