Yeah it really wasnt bad at all, after having all those questions answered everything went like it was supposed to, which was great. The galley plugs came right off I just hammered the allen head with an extension in there once or twice and it worked great. To remove the rear on the passenger side I had to get my arm under the heater core with a wrench and work on it slowly cuase I couldnt get there with any ratchet. For the rest I used just a 10mm socket with a 3" extension and thats all it took. I was amazed at how easily it all came apart

sweet deal. hope mine goes that easy as well. i am a little nervous though. when i first bought the truck i had ford do the glow plugs and one of the glow plugs had swelled up and was stuck in there. they had to take the head off the engine to get it out. hopefully it isnt like that again.

Oh man how the heck did that happen. That sounds like it was a lot of work to get fixed, hopefully they got it fixed the first time so you wont have to deal with it again

waiting to do my injectors too. gonna go with stage 2s I think. Try to get it done at the first of the year. Hopefully by then, I'll have the $$$ sitting around for a new turbo.

yeah matt. i am not trying to pull heads on the thing. as far as how it happened, ford told me that glow plugs can swell up if they are not operating properly and are left in there for too long. i am hoping this isnt the case again because they didnt work at all last winter and my truck had to be plugged in everynight or i wouldnt start at all. ford told me it isnt very common at all but they have seen it a happen a few times.

Nice that will be awesome, I just went with stage 1s cause I wont have the money for a turbo for a long time so I didnt want to go too big right now

Jim Rose said that with stage 1s and a custom chip he saw a 110hp increase when he put it on the dyno and 160hp with a turbo and fuel system. I think the dyno numbers would be around 320-330rwhp but I could be wrong

Get yourself a ratchet wrench for the two bolts by the heater core. Every other one can be had with a ratchet and a wobbly with extensions.
