I believe the most benefits out an a new exhaust system is the down pipe that you have not added. It comes straight from the turbo and is the key piece in opening up your exhaust for performance gains.

My 01 Excursion came without a cat, from the factory. So I don't think any 7.3's have to worry about delete.

If I take my truck to muffler shop and replace the cat and muffler with pipe. Is that good bad or what. Basically leave it stock and just delete the cat and muffler. It is a 95 F350 7.3 turbo.
I have heard people say that it doesnt do well because you loose backpressure but alot of people are doing it
Thanks

sp, 4'' is good for 400hp,5'' 500hp, if you are running less than 400hp you can just go with a 3'' dp. and 4'' sp. it will really help. make sure u get a two part dp it is alot easier to put in. and you will have to mod the fire wall by the bell hosing to get the dpto fit. 4'' dp. will reguire a adaptor becuse you stock turbo outlit os only 3''. you will get some power and mpg by doing a sp. and dp.

Just dump the exhaust and put on straight pipe, Wont hurt anything the turbo creates enough restriction for the engine, most diesels prefer straight exhaust.
