Tuning

Hi guys im new to diesels.. and i have a question about tuning. I have a ts performance chip that came with my truck and no mods yet. I dont plan on putting major mods on but i was wondering if my ts performance chip could be tuned or re burned? someone fill me in please.

Yes it can, Cary and Raul should be able to help you out with tony wildman tunes if you want that, btw what constitutes as major mods? Kause something's are gonna need some fab/effort

Ok cool. And i wud say stage 2 injectors bigger stuff like that. I do plan on a ww2 and 3in downpipe but not much more

If all you have is a chip then you need an intake, DP and exhaust(if needed by local laws) or just straight pipe and let that thing breathe.

Yep Yep i forgot to add intake i plan on straight pipeing it and i was looking at a s and b intake? what do you recommend for intakes?

I have a Donaldson filter which is equivalent to the NAPA 6637 everyone hypes about. I get mine on ebay and I made it work but i'm sure some of the vendors on here could help you out and get a full intake which is what I plan for the future.

I ran an all metal afe on my last rig, I have an afe stage 2 currently, I like the look and the heat shield around it, but many guys run the DIY 6637, tymar, and afe, the k&n is known for dusting turbos, and the spectre is known for collapsing on it's self for lack of flow, but for the most part s&b, afe, and tymar/DIY 6637 are what most run, good luck with your build, and I doubt custom tunes intake and exhaust is where you stop (nobody ever quits)
