New to psd's....

Ok fellas I've always been a cummins owner so I'm asking for a little advice/guidance here. Right now my trucks got new 17* hpop, 3" dp into 3.5" straight pipe, canned tunes on ts 6 pos, new fuel pump and new ad injectors. I did all this myself about 10k miles ago. Truck is a 5 speed. I would like to be near the 380-400hp mark. Gauges are already on the way. Im thinking of going with some stage 1's to 2's, 1.0 exhaust housing, ww2, custom tunes and maybe a diy efuel conversion purely because im tired of chasing leaks. Any imput would be greatly appreciated.

Stage 1s will get ya 350rwhp but thats tapped out. To hit 400rwhp you need stage 2s. That 17* hpop will do alright but might run dry on WOT pulls. E fuel would be a good idea even on stock injectors.

I would avoid the 1.0 housing as its a restriction on anything past stock injectors with a stock turbo.

You will probably need a better clutch also

I am guessing you have a 97 cali model considering you are running split shot injectors?

No its a 96 non cali. I had 2 bad injectors and got these for almost free. The mpg on these suck but they do pull hard. I kind of wonder if they would pull harder if my chip was tuned for them.

so you have two AD injectors and the rest are AA injectors? The ADs are 140cc injectors but they need tuning to run properly. Actually I bet they are rather upset being in there.

Also side thought a stock turbo might not get you much past 350rwhp. You might be surprised

Your going to want to swap those ad's out for aa or ao code sticks if you don't have a Cali model, they are decent cores for when you want stage 1 or stage 2 sticks tho, your going to want to find out the health of your hpop by checking the DC% and psi, it may be new, but still stock and may not have the umph you need for the bigger sticks good luck

Well i may just get the tuning done first and go from there then. Know of a tuner that will reburn the chip I've got to run them?
