Edge Evolution EEF1000

Hi all, new user here.

I just picked up a 1996 F250 CCSB 5 speed 7.3.

It is all stock except a K/N intake, downpipe, and one of these edge programmers. Truck has 225,000 miles. I have not read many good things about the programmer or the K/N intake. Should I leave them as is and drive it, or remove them (the stock airbox came with the truck) and wait until I can get some guages and a 6 position switch with custom tunes?

Appreciate the direct feedback.

Thanks

You could leave the k and n filter tubing. Take the filter off and go to napa and get a 6637 and put it on.. also I ran edge for a long time.. had about same miles.. jusy be easy on it wont hurt nothing.

Every bad edge review I've read was with an auto and they hurt the transmission. I'd trash the k and n.

I have the edge with the auto and I agree with old blue. Go easy with it. I only use the tow mode tune. My tranny was hurting when I bought the truck. It's still alive 15,000 miles later (307,000 miles on the clock)
