1.15 VS 1.0 housing

I am running stage one sticks from full force diesel. 160 cc stock nozzles. The truck tows amazing. I scaled it yesterday at a total weight of 23320 lbs. I have a turbo from barter turbo service. It is basically a D66. It is not installed yet. I am a little concerned about the turbo being laggy. I live at 4500 feet and some of the summits that I cross are 7500-8000 feet. I am looking to lower egt some. Just wondering who has any experience between the two housings and a d66?

there are a few of us that went to the 1.0 housing with stage 1 injectors, the results were the same. Lower egt's with more lower end grunt without hurting top end much if any.

^ agreed. I have stage II's and swapped a 1.0 onto my D66. Much happier towing.

Do it, I live and tow at about the same elevations as you and I'm very happy with my stage Is and 1.0 housing. My chip from Dp tuners should be here Friday so we'll see how much of a difference it is over the gold superchip I have been using for years.

i have also gone with the smaller housing with 160/100s, much better. less smoke, EGTs are the same or lower, boost is up across the board, truck runs out of air at 3100 rpms. not that i ever go that high, but i wanted to see where it would stop

Good to know thanks. Is beans the cheapest place to get the housing. I assume that they are all the same and probably cast at the same place?

Check beans or Ron's turbo service in SLC Utah. I'm sure there are other places that have them but these two I know have them for a good price.
