I tried doing the mod....the inner componets of the IDM dosent like heat! I bought one off of ebay from a 02 7.3, its 120v. vs the stock 110v stockon th eobs trucks. Yea, some differrence. Alittle better starting, and take off from a dead stop. I had done the fpr mod at the same time, So I couldnt tell which had the biggest impact. IMO, both are worth doing. Just be carefull in the IDM. Sooner or later I'll try my luck again with the mod.

I might try to go on ebay and buy a idm from a new 7.3....


I have an aFe Intake and just installed a MBRP 3" downpipe-4" turbo back exhaust.... thats all for now.

Dont really wanna mod it up too much.... i'd rather go buy a 6.0 and mod it up right....

I hear ya with the 6.0.
with the right mods, the 7.3 is great, wouldnt trade mine for a new 6.0 or 6.?.
Well, Id take it if given to me, then sell it.
