Don't have a good answer for you. I'd imagine on what kind of internals you're willing to pay for. Billet inputs/outputs, etc. and a good tq. converter should hold just about anything a 7.3L can throw at it.
Somebody will be along with better info. than me for sure, so heres a bump for you... |

Get a BTS or John Wood trans, they will handle anything!

well like shu was saying... it just depneds on what you have done to it.... I'm sure that a BTS and John Wood trans have taken their limit before... maybe because someone had more power than what they thought or it just happened...

okay, but, i shouldnt need to really worry about, say 450 - 500 hp on a BTS or john wood tranny?
just seems like everyone is realll shady about, "hey, its a built, but we dont know how strong it is" |
|

|
so what company or people are telling you that??

Both BTS and John Wood, and Suncoast too i believe have approx. HP numbers depending on what stage tranny you get. How much HP it will hold is all based upon what internals you get, and so on. You can get one rated at 400hp, or you can get one rated at 800hp. Just depends on what you want and how much your willing to spend. |

I've been there, done that and have a BTS that is taking it easily with me truck so far ~> |

well, i probably wont hit 450, but, i can set my goals high. Ima get intake tuner and exhaust within a month, assuming this truck works out. So... ittl be a while before i get anywhere near that....
i looked on suncoast and BTS's website, and there are no numbers anywhere. only on ATS (boo) |
