Cat delete and state inspection
I got a question that involves the state inspection in Texas. If I get a cat delete pipe for my 97 F350 will I still pass state inspection or do I need to bolt the kitty back in every time? The reason why I ask is because I once didn't get the sticker because my exhaust on my Yota Truck was rusted pretty bad. Anyone in Texas run into any problems without the cat yet?
Thanks |

At this time you should not have any problems. Saftey inspection only no emmision testing. However with that said some Counties inspect for modifications to the emmision system and turn you down. I have not had any issues and have mine inspected in the Metroplex and the testing is usually more stringent here. Good luck.

same deal here in Utah, I kept mine just incase the laws change, the place I go told me all they do is look under the truck to see if I have a muffler, no cat req, but you never know, might aswell keep it so you don't need to buy another one if you need it.
