2n gear converter lock up

is there a kit out there so i can do a converter lock up in low range 2nd gear??? need a nother 2 to 3 mph.

The converter will lock in 2nd gear stock if it's under the right cirumstances such as if you lock it into 2nd and drive until the rpms are to high then it will lock to bring them down some. Or if you are pulling a heavy load and it shifts down into 2nd but is still high in the rpm range. What are you trying to do?

Im truck pulling. Need to get to 22 mph, 1st high is to fast. to slow off the line.

Just put it in 4low and the lever in D. It'll do what it needs to do. There is really no point in holding it in one gear.

put in a manual lockup switch. IIRC its purple wire with yellow tracer or vice versa, in the tranny wiring harness. You'll need to tap into that wire run it to a switch and ground out the other side of the switch.

your talking the short harness on the right hand side of the trans. Since i am tapping into the wire, when I use the switch and ground the wire, it won't back feed and burn out anything, right??

no the harness is on the driver side frame rail, you can trace it up to the wheel well and tap in up top.
