Western Plow GPR Relay

Well going against the grain of everyone on the Stancor bandwagon I figured id try the Western Plow relay and i got it installed last night and all in all im impressed. Ive been having a mild loping start issue on my OBS since ive gotten in and i figured id replace the GPR regardless and it didnt fix it totally but it seems to have helped a bit i think i have some bad GPs. Its definitely better than the stock GPR that was in there. So time will tell how well it lasts through the winter.

I just mounted it at the stock location, only was able to use one of the holes since the new relay is bigger but i think it will hold just fine

I'm sure you know this but any lopping wont be caused by gp's they ONLY help it start.

What this nation needs is cleaner thoughts and dirtier fingernails...

At start up it will because if its not hot enough not all the cylinders wont fire until it get hot enough to fire thus white smoke on start up

I am right with you on the Western relay. It has a 100% duty cycle And is $12. I have yet to replace a western relay, because they just Never go bad

Unlike the stancore one that is $50+ and doesnt have a 100% duty cycle

Looking for Blue 40-20-40 seats. PM me !!!!!!!

here's the one I've been using... the points slide against each other and are Self-Cleaning....
supposedly they last a Very long time....and now, I control when, ( and, or even if ),
it comes on....

mine's been in for two yeatrs now, and works perfectly... :

You do realize you could just wire up a manual override by just connecting the positive switch side to a switch
