i have cut out my kitty and muffler,
did a D.I.Y. intake,

what other easy cheap things can i do to my truck to get some other cheap ponies

how much lowder is it without the muffler? does it sound like a old cummings? i'm about to cut my muffler off my cat is allready out and i'm just straight piped. i'm going to cut the muffler off and put a 5 or 6 inch miter stack up so i'm just wondering how loud it is? i'm wanting it to sound like a tractor comming down the road!

cheap mods would be FPR shim, 10k mod, and IDM mod. I have a few resistors left for the IDM mod or you could send me your IDM and I can install it for a small fee. PM me if interested.

no it dont sound like a cummins but it just whistles like a s.o.b. and when you get up to about 2200-3000 rpms then it sounds like it almost has glass packs
but sounds awsome and you can be heard from a long ways away

It will never sound like a cummins or a tractor because it's a V8 not an I6. Straightpiped they sound more like a big V8 gas engine which IMHO is WAY better than sounding like an old buss like the Cummins engines do!

yea i have to agree. they sound like a muffled down caterpillar in a rig but x10

except untill you get up to about 2200 rpms

but you really really can hear the turbo and can hear it when you do a diy intake
i love mine

the neighbors dont like it at all at about 5 in the mornin when im in a hurry to get to work

ok how do i make a intake? i'm looking at cold air intakes and their like 300 as much as the stack and kit i want to get . so a diy intake would be verry practicle. how do i make it and how much would it cost?

I did a DIY intake. The pics of it is in my gallery. bought a filter @ Napa, a 2.5" piece of 4" exhaust pipe and a 5" hose clamp
