got turbo back together and...

there is still a bunch of side to side shaft play. no in and out play. got a rebuild kit from dieselorings and everything went together nice and easy. i was hoping this would remedy some of that.

this is my first turbo rebuild. is this normal??

no. but i was hoping it would lessen the existing shaft play i had. it didnt do that so much.

i guess ill run it as long as i can and then a whole new turbo with some more fuel overhaul later down the road.

this current project i got new fuel bowl assembly, new pump, rebuilt IPR, new sleeve and gaskets on lines from pump to rail, and this turbo rebuild.

Y not go e fuel? And some side to side I've heard was normal, just so long as the sides are not being hit by the wheel

As long as it isn't touching the compressor housing all is good like said. I've replaced several turbos in my career in the Ag field and brand new ones out of the box will have side play

cool. this makes me feel a bit better about it then.

Electric Fuel.
i do want to but im trying to get this truck out of my driveway as soon as i can. im trying to find some shop space for myself and i just gotta get these projects rollin to bigger better facilities.

it was easier for me to just replace the factory setup then spend the time to develop my efuel setup.
