To INFINITY-PL and Beyond!!! ???

I did a search for the new infinity programmer here but not much showed up.

I have a completely stock f350 cclb sw 4x4. I need guages( tranny, boost, egt), pods, a good scanner, and a chip.....among other things.

the infinity does all these things with the exception of an egt, but you can add that to the kit. they even have the hub that allows you to use a position chip along with the programmer so you dont have to shut the truck down and reload each program, like with a traditional programmer.

should I bypass all the purchasing and plumbing of all the seperate above mentioned components and just get the infinity ?

everything I need will show up in one nice box and Ill be ready to roll in one afternoon.

consider runnig pods and guages.... Ive never set up 3 at a time but I can imagine all the plumbing involved...

With your tunes on it Justin is it still switch on the fly? Like the 6 pos chip?

I believe that's why you need to add the hub. It lets the chips communicate with the programmer. It also lets the egt probe connect to the programmer so you can display the temp on the screen.

The way the videos on their site show, once you have the hub connected to the programmer it's just a matter of tapping a few buttons on the touch screen and you can switch between tunes. Not as fast as shift on the fly but almost.

I'm really considering it since my truck has nothing on it and this set up has everything included in it .

It is only switch on the fly if you connect the CEI-HUB and chip to it. The Infinity itself is a programmer, which cannot change tunes on the fly because it flashes the PCM. The truck has to be off to do this.

Once a chip is connected to it, it acts as a switch for the chip.

That is correct. It takes a few taps of the finger and you are in another tune.

All this considered, I will prolly be ordering one soon.

Will the infinity be as fluent with the obs computer as a stand alone autuengenuity scanner?

This is another big reason I'm considering the infinity is so I can talk to my truck too.

I looked up prices and the scanner is $250 plush another $200 for the ford specific software, or what ever its called-- still kinda new to this stuff. I've only been on board with all this cool diesel stuff since may!

Yes, the Infinity works great on the OBS trucks too. It will monitor 218+ parameters on the OBS trucks.
