Hey guys im thinkin of getting the edge evolution for my truck, i had the bully dog 6 positon 4 banks chip in their but it just messed my truck up beyond belief:doh:, so im shipping it back and wondering what your takes are on with the edge evo?.... i have a 95 ford f-super duty with an intake and full exhaust
no it's not that bad. we wouldn't sell so many if they were junk and they still wouldn't be made. for the everyday driver that just wants a little better mileage and some more power it's perfect. the 1705 is another nice unit but they are only making one more production run.
it's Superchips unit, it's a programmer that will work for 94-03 7.3l they have had this out for a long time and are now doing away w/ it b/c of the 1805 working on the 99-07 trucks. but they like i said are doing one more production run on em'.
I guess junk was a bad word. Its just nothing compared to a custom chip in every aspect. I have nothing against the edge its just that there is light years better tuning for cheaper out there. If you just want econo and a little pep I would get a custom chip from the above mentioned and get a tow tune and a econo/daily driver tune.
A full six position chip from tony costs $475. If you went with just the four that you want it'd be $425, though I'd recommend a high idle tune as well. I'd go with tony's because he does free reburns, so if you mod your truck more, (which we all know you will) he can set it up for those upgrades.
dp-tuner.com to price out their stuff
totaldieselperformance.com for TW stuff
Those are the only 2 tuners for 7.3's
I have a Dp and love it but you cant go wrong with either from my understanding
