CX Racing Inter cooler Install with lots of pictures.

So I got my Inter cooler today and started right a way. So it might take me a few more days to finish do to some unexpected and expected slow downs. My truck was in a fender bender with the previous owner and they stuck the gas bumper on it. My ford buddy has been sick so I haven't been able to get up to his place to get one. Plus my head light bracket thing broke. Ill also half to do some welding on the Radiator support as it has started to crack. My Brother helped me on this one, so hes the one cutting the holes. I'll be adding photos as it gets closer to being done.












1996 F-350 Crew Cab 4x4, Auto, Toyo MT 315/65/16r, full force 160/30% injectors, Super Duty electric fuel system, RiffRaff regulated return, Driven diesel electric fuel pump controller, SWAMPS HVHF IDM, custom tuned TS chip, 1.0 Turbo, CX Intercooler, 4" Exhaust, 6637 Intake, 4.10 Gears, 225k+ miles.

Looks good so far, but why cut the condensor supports off? I just flattened both mine, make sure to give us a review too

IDK seemed like a good idea at the time. What do you mean flattened? I took them out for more air flow as little as it may be.

There is a bend in them, just put them in a vice and straighten out, flat, and put new holes where they hold the condensor farther back, those plates should do fine regardless tho

How did you mount the IC to the frame?
EDIT: nvm, I see the bar top mounts

I'm working on the bottom mounts. I lost on at napa when I ran for bolts I think. So I'll have to go back Friday and see if they have it. Then work on my tranny coolers and bumper will take some time. The kit did come with spacers for the bumper.

It's done, using a modified bracket till I get the one back from napa. Also I'm working on my tranny coolers. Right now I'm running the bigger of the 2 that I have. Maybe get a used A/C condenser. Do you guys think that would work as a enlarge tranny cooler?

Looks good buttoned up, and as far as an ac condencer for a tranny cooler it's pretty large for the pump in the trans to push through, don't see why it wouldn't work other than that though

Hm yeah I'll have to keep thinking about it. The nice thing about them is that there thin. And after all of what I've had to stuff in there it would be nice. Right now my tranny cooler is strapped to my grill.
