1997 PSD injectors and Quadzilla 4 bank chip
I keep reading about 97 stock injectors and how they can only handle a maximum of 75 additional horsepower from a performance chip. Is this true or can the stock injectors handle more? If they can only handle 75 horse I do not want go all out on a chip. Does anyone know about the Quadzilla 4 bank chip with commander control system? Thanks for the help.

I think thats about right. Seeing that the 97 injectors are 120cc and the 95's are somewhere in the 90cc's, people say that the 95 can only gain about 40hp.

I don't know anything about the commander, but you are right about the 75 ish hp gain. You will max out at about 200 hp to the wheels, maybe a little more. This is true with all OBS trucks, except for a '97 California Emissions trucks, that came with 120 cc split shots. Most '97's had the small injectors.
Stage 1 injectors will get you to around 300 hp with a good chip and intake/exhaust. |
