TransGo Tugger Kit. Anything else?
I am getting a Transgo Tugger kit to put in my 97 F350. I have a TW chip on the way and don't want to destroy my transmission too quickly. Anything else I should get to help prolong the transmission life? Perhaps some pump upgrades? I will likely get a nice Billet TC as well.

Trans temp gauge would be handy?

Make sure that you have the heavy duty planetary gears and get the upgrade Sonnax parts too.
Sonnax Transmission, Torque Converter, Performance, Driveline Parts :: Transmission Specialties® :: Ford :: 4R100 I have these upgrades done on my trans and I love it. |

I have gauges (trans, pyro, and boost) waiting to go in to the truck too.

The Transgo Tugger kit has all the parts in it to "respring" the valve bodies also. Dont see where you would need the sonnax kit. When we installed my Tugger kit, the sonnax springs that I installed were removed from the valve body, and the new springs from the kit were installed.

The Tugger kit does not come with the bigger valves and sleevs that go into the front pump.
These are the Items that I would not leave out as the stock ones are known problems. The little valves jam inside the sleaves. boost valve=36424-01k TCC control sleave=36424-08k line to lube pressure regulator valve=36424-04k Small price to pay for added trans life and better protection against trans failure. |

Maybe this is why I let BTS build mine

Along with what was already mentioned a larger transmission cooler is a must. I just put a cooler from a 6.0 on mine and it took 40 degrees if its operating temps.
