Stage 2 injectors and d66 turbo

Hello, Im new to Powerstroke.org. But ive been reading posts on here for a while. I am getting stage 2 injectors and D66 turbo and Custom tunes. But the question I have is, will my stock tranny hold up? its automatic, and has about 120,000 miles on it. All info would be great. thanks

As previously stated, if you baby the hell out of it you might get some life out of it. Lets be honest though, that's not going to happen. You will need a built Trans. I would contact Cary @ ct performance about a BTS.

the previous poster is exactly correct.

here's the problem you have....when you install the injectors and the turbo, if everything else is right, you're close to DOUBLING your power. the stock transmission was NOT designed to handle it, and it won't. the E40D ford trans is a very good transmission WHEN it's built properly, and will take a tremendous amount of power. there are guys running 1200 foot pounds of torque thru them sled pulling and drag racing, and they stay together.

I've been running one for Three Years with ZERO problems, you can read my sig to see what I'm running in front of it, and all I do is tow with it...we live in SoCal and we travel about 6-8 months a year with the Fiver, and it HAS to work.
I'm grossing 21,000 lbs right now, and am in Mt. Carmel, Utah as we speak, headed for Yellowstone thru the mountains.....

So, call Cary at CT Performance, (Thats where I got mine), and talk to him....he sells them all over the US and Canada, he Installs them as well, if you're anywhere close to him, and has about the best price.... :
