3 inch plenums

Hey everyone I have bought the Banks techni cooler for my truck and getting ready to install it. I know the intercooler comes with their own custom intake to the motor instead of the stock y pipe. Now would in benefit me to go ahead and buy the 3inch intake plenums? I know that the intercooler intake they sent will probably not work so I might be able to trade it out for a 99 or later banks intake? Also, I am starting to put the money into the truck and plan on loads more mods so please any suggestion be appreciated?

The 99 Banks intake would not work due to the difference in turbo flanges between OBS and SD turbos. I don't know how beneficial it would be, but you might be able to get transition boots that go from 2" to 3". I also don't know how well an early 99 SD intake would line up with the Banks piping (the early 99 has 2-3/8" runners). Cheers!

the E99 and banks intake are also very different. if you have banks piping you need the banks spyder, if you have the banks spyder you need the banks piping. 3" plenums would be nice, but not necessary

3" plenims wont fit without going to e fuel anyway, you have to remove the fuel bowl and use an sd top end or just e fuel it all up and no sd fuel bowl

and when you got all done with all that, it wouldn't run a bit better unless you had Stage III's in it anyhow....

Thanks guys!!! I am on my way to Stage III's FFD injectors, BDP fuel system and I was just wanting to do the change now instead of later, but I guess I can deal with that down the road!!
