changing injectors in a few weeks got a question

So my trucks injectors are very tired, my oil pressure is great truck still even runs pretty good but it is hesitating a bit. I get lots of black smoke on the 100hp setting on my ts chip and it pulls a trailer, but it is failing the cct.

so im looking at a few options, I know with stock fuel and oil I should be able to run stage 1's just fine. but I have a local re builder here who says I can run stage 2's and that he will rebuild mine out to them for $1200! so my question is can I safely run stages 2's on stock oil and fuel for a few months? or should i stick to stage 1 or 1.5? soon after I will be going to a 17* hpop form a sd and doing e fuel. But that may take a couple months to finish it all up.

Go ahead and do the 2's make sure your custom tunes keep them at bay tho till you get your supporting mods

Question you should be asking is do you need stage 2's...support mods are costly and with a stick shift its not going to make the truck that much faster....just shifts so slow.

Since you tow I'd just do stage 1's, a IC, good tunes and maybe a turbo upgrade..really all thats needed to make a huge improvement.

Get Inj's from a known builder....

I'm aiming for 400hp in the end already have ic waiting on pipes and saving for a t500 hpop and e fuel followed by a d66. After that I really waning to figure out how to put a Allison behind it.

I wouldn't send anyone my sticks to anyone other than Jim at Rosewoods Diesel. All he builds is Powerstroke injectors and IMHO he is the best.

I agree with Kris, get the stage 2's and have them detuned until you can afford the supporting mods. This is what i will be doing with the dually build.
