Baby Swamps or stage 1's and HPOP

I am still looking at upgrading injectors but have run across another issue. I have been told that 160cc injectors may be more than the stock HPOP can handle and it could throw an icp code. Is this an issue and would it be worth the extra money to go with a set of baby swamps that are only 150cc’s. Also is it a big deal if the injectors are test fired only and not flow tested. Thanks in advance.

I got swamps injectors and the same HPOP the older trucks had. Mine ran great but didn’t have the power I wanted. Spent $345 on a rebuilt new model 17* pump and it helped a lot. I can now burn the big 35” mudders on a dry road with no brake and it will bark second. Later I plan to spend $900, or so, on the DIY dual pump kit and use my old and new pump to make my own Dual HPOP system. I also really need a bigger turbo to clean up all the black smoke, by the way I run 32 psi on my stock turbo.

I would have them build a 173/175 single for you. Should get you around 25-30 more CC and still run the single shots

I’d say go as big as you may ever want in the future and just have a position on the flip chip set for the stock HPOP you got now and a position set for future upgrades. Only thing is it will make your mouth water and that makes the future come sooner than you may need it to.

He's not kidding, once you start you always want more.

Jump up in injector size, HPOP , and good tunes will bring a very big smile to your face

I don't want to go bigger than stage 1's cause I need to be able to pull a heavy load with out eating up my trans. I was just worried about the stage 1 injectors tripping the CEL and the swamps possibly not tripping it. Just wasn't sure if the 10 cc's between the two would make a difference or if the 160's would cause a problem.

I have 160cc stage 2's and a 15* HPOP.... I cant set the CEL in my 80hp econo tune. I havent been able to try other hp level tunes because its the only tune I have right now, but I'll report back when I get more aggressive tunes and see if I can set the light.
