destroyed my zf-5 today

Well guys i twisted my inputshaft competly in half today. Idk if this is common or if the input shaft was already damaged. But i heard that they make a aftermarket tougher one an was wondering where to buy one? If anyone knows let me know.

Wow... what in the world were you doing when this happened? Any mods on the truck? I haven't done much research on the manual transmissions in the Super Duty, but I don't think this is a 'common' problem

I've don't remember seeing one for the ZF-5. You might be able to get one Cryo'd though. Cheers!

Check with Southbend or similar. I know somewhere there is a 1 3/8" shaft in the aftermarket. See them a lot on pull trucks.
