diamond eye dp question

hey guys I already have 4in straight pipe form the stock dp back. Do I need both pieces of the diamond eye kit or can I jsut run the first one and fill in any gap with more 4in pipe? also if I can does anyone know what diam the pipe is where the 1st and 2nd section connect?

You will need both pieces of the 2 piece down pipe, as the 2nd piece has the rotating joint to connect to your existing 4". In the picture, the DP is on the right and it is 3"

Like said, 4" straight won't fit up there need big firewall mods to fit it, you will need both 3" sections of the downpipe

I got the 4" dp to fit up there.. No trimming or anything. Its a ***** to take out the 3.5" cause of all the heat wrap on it, but once you can get that pipe out, you can slide the 4" right up.. Takes a little wiggling and pushing but it pops right up in there.

In an obs? I had a hard time fitting a 3" dp in there bud most of us actually did

I dont have that joint anymore I cut it jsut before that and welded the 4in on from there. I just wasnt sure if the first section brings it down under the truck or stops like half way ddown the trans. I could make a 3 in section to go from the first section to the 4in that I have if it comes to the bottom of the trans. Just trying to save some money if I can.

Somebody went to a T4 mount most likely, which uses a different upper section of the down pipe.
