Gauges

Hello,

I am new to the site but not Powerstrokes. I've got a 97 F-350 7.3 zf5 with 360,000 miles on. It still runs like a champ but could use a little "massaging". I am planning on ordering a DP T5 in the next week or two. I will also be adding gauges. Obviously I plan to install a egt and boost but I cant decide on the third (plan to get a 3 pod apillar mount). I know opinions vary but I am looking for the best gauge for number 3. I was thinking of a water temp since the factory gauge doesnt tell you much but I didnt know if that was a bit reduntant given that I will be getting a egt. I was also considering hpop or fuel pressure gauges for diagnostic purposes in the event I have a problem.

Current mods are 6637 intake and straight pipe exhaust. Other than the above the next mods will be DIY intercooler and 3" downpipe.

Any help would be great!

A good third gauge for you would be fuel pressure. The HPOP gauge is near worthless if you cannot watch IPR.

Have you checked out our Infinity monitor/programmer yet? If not, go HERE. It will monitor everything the PCM sees and you can add additional inputs/sensors for stuff the PCM does not see. This would include EGT and fuel pressure. It will also run diagnostic tests as well.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the help guys. I ended up ordering the DP F5 last night and stuck with pyro and boost and opted for the gauge pod switch from DP to stick in the third hole. Looking forward to trying it out!

PhilMac - I am looking at similar mods, exhaust, chip and gauges. I have a 3" DP already, will add a 4" exhaust and Tunes. If at all possible could you post a pic of the gauges when installed? I will have to make the same decision in the near future. Thank you.

honestly if you got gauges, and the gauge mount for your chip, and dp tunes, you should have just gotten the infinity, cost a little more, but does everything you bought gauges for, just need the adaptor for egt
