DD'ing with race tune question.

Hey guys, my truck is a stage one truck, its stock except for exhaust, intake, e-fuel and injectors.

it has stage 2 injectors, I had my chip tuned down for stage 1, but I also had a few stage 2 tunes put on there for when I upgrade to supporting mods.

Long story short, im having a tuning issue and I need to get a hold of a data logger so they can help me out. My stock tune, and my race tune(stage 2) are the only tunes that act correctly.

Is there any reason I shouldn't run it all the time on stage 2 race? Assuming I can stay out of the pedal, is there anything thats bad on the motor? like timing, pulse width ect?

thanks!

High pressure oil may not keep up, and egt's to high, also over speeding the turbo, keep an eye on your gauges, and autoenginuity has soft ware to data log iirc

I havn't had any issues with my hpop, it tests pretty strong and even full throttle pulls dont seem to throw a cel.

If I keep boost at reasonable levels is turbo over speed still possible? (can you over speed a turbo @ 10-25 lbs of boost) I understand full throttle 40+psi is bad for it.

egt's I have no issues keeping down, in a daily driving sense, when I punch it they spike, but I always have my eye on them.

Well with my personal experience I get boost to 32-36 psi often, so if you keep your boost normal than, and not so much as to over speed or over boost the turbo, and you seem to have a healthy hpop you should be fine, I tow in my extreme tune sometimes without adverse effect other than needing to down shift to keep boost up and egt's down when pulling a grade

You'll have no issues, if you drive with half a brain and not going WOT all the time. FWIW i tow quite often in my race tune with 2's.

Awesome to hear, and I respect my truck very much so. I never beat on it, I plan on just leaving it in the race tune, and turning it back to stock when other people drive the truck.
